FABERNOVEL is looking for a motivated and talented Senior Strategist to join its international team. The Innovation Consulting team gathers entrepreneurs, innovation community leaders, and a stuffed unicorn. We speak Mandarin, Dutch, English, French,  Wenzhounese, Shanghainese, Korean, Spanish and Italian. Some of us have grey hairs, others are tattooed. We all love learning new things, meeting the community and helping our clients succeed.

The Senior Strategist  is accountable for:  

  • Ensuring the coordination of internal (employees) and external resources to deliver  high-quality consulting projects  
  • Structuring and developing strategies for consulting offers in Innovation Consulting  Team, maintaining the relationship with key clients and identify new business  opportunities  
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of the market, trends of client’s business and relevant industries and making Fabernovel a forward-looking thought leader in digital transformation  
  • Planning & reviewing on a periodic basis all work processes, workflow, operating procedures to ensure team productivity, employees’ development and excellent customer satisfaction  
  • Working closely with other teams in China and global teams to create synergies in business operation and knowledge transfer, as well as ensure the alignment between global and local client management 

Successfully Lead & Execute Consulting projects 

  • Plan & organize resources (internal and external) to deliver the projects according to client needs, including but not limited to innovation outpost, studies, strategic advisory, DA learning paths, etc. 
  • Manage the critical path of the project, reporting, daily communication, and key project risks 
  • Providing project directions and high-level strategic thinking to consulting projects 
  • Monitor, report, and communicate client’s satisfaction
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the market, trends of client’s business and relevant  industries

Project Management & Account Growth 

  • Maintain accountability for all aspects of key client engagement: relationship, SoW, execution, deliverables 
  • Structure current consulting offers and coordinate with FABERNOVEL global account direction to align strategy & execution
  • Identify needs, take briefs, support in preparing proposals & pitching to convert into projects 
  • Identify needs outside of main PoC at the client to deepen the relationship & understanding of key stakes 
  • Strategize and create new offers as per clients needs & company strategy 

Internal Projects & Thought Leadership  

  • Structure & organize the “content community” in China that serves the local and internal needs, and can be plugged into global content communities 
  • Develop strategies for Fabernovel to gain a reputation as a thought leader on China’s digital topics and execute 
  • Planning & reviewing on a periodic basis the internal project work processes,  workflow, operating procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and alignment with  different teams

Team Capabilities’ & Knowledge Growth:

  • Inspire and lead a team of consulting staff responsible for delivering high-quality projects and high-impact solutions
  • Strengthen the team knowledge in key priority sectors and the overall innovation/digital landscape in APAC
  • Develop and oversee talent and organizational development plan which ensures the practice can fulfill its growth ambitions and maintain an engaged and motivated talent base
  • Cultivate team growth, people growth, mentorship, and development responsibilities, ensuring the career development of employees


Ideal Profile: 

  • 5 years of minimum experience in market research and consulting required
  • Native Chinese speaker required
  • Solid working knowledge of both the strategic and practical aspects of project  management
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading, teaming with, and building  alignment with different stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of the digital ecosystem and innovation in China, including key dynamics, market environments, leading & emerging players, new trends, and best practices
  • Curiosity for innovation and exploring new concepts, ideas and models in different industries
  • Proactive in taking on new tasks and working through ambiguous situations
  • Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred
